Creative but late...

OK, I'm really late with translations of Polish posts... So, I'll try to shorten the distance between blogs.
Let's start with things I finished since the last post.
  First, baby blanket:

I guess it should fit even for a few-years-old kid. It's light green with nice jeans effect.
Yarn: Himalaya Denim, needles: 4 mm (US 6).

Now, something nearly done - beige shawl:

It needs blocking but I decided to show it at this stage. Smile's made by started skirt and "hair" is created by future top; yarn is the same as above.

And we're in present times - my first mug cosy:

It has flowers on the top...

and it's tied with help of chain "twine":

Uff... That's pretty much it. I thought there was more of them but I guess I can finish here this time. Maybe, I'll open a craftswoman's trunk again next time... We'll see ;)

A good advice

I just came across one good advice:

  And don't say I didn't warn You ;)

From a craftswoman's trunk, part 2

It's time for a second part of taking thins from my trunk. More colorful this time: Turquoise and Orange (pattern for the second one: "Sabrina robótki" magazine, no. 6/2011):

Unfortunately, the crochet shawl is suspended due to differences in thickness between thread I used and one which I have in my stash... I don't know what to do: should I start it with the other thread from the beginning or should I look for similar material that I already used? I'll be greatful for suggestions.
Besides, we have little friends which often visit us. We provide them baths, eating and drinking as much as they want:

And another green jumping guest:

From a craftswoman's trunk, part 1

Nothing new so far. I'm doing lots of UFOs and one novum...

That's why I decided to crate a series called "From a crafswoman's trunk" where I'll show some projects older than blog. They sometimes appear on me or on my table.
I'll begin with two crochet doilies: "The five" (pattern: "Najpiękniejsze serwetki", special edition of "Sabrina robótki" magazine) and one made of chains (an old family pattern).

The second one is great because it changes its character according to the background: on red fans look a little bit like flames, on blue they're like water lilies; on green - like daisies, and on black the doily looks elegant.

Next parts will appear soon... ;)

Some shopping and crocheting

Yesterday, I went to the stationer's and bought some "backgrounds" to my photos. They'll be nicer in the future :)

Actually, I'm working on another UFO - crochet shawl. I made one already "for export" and this one will be for myself. The thread I'm using is quite special because it's inherited from my grandmom.

What am I doing now?

Recently, I'm doing three things: knitting shirt or tunic and shawl, and crocheting skirt (the apricot one). The picture shows natural colors. White balance is a very useful tool in a camera ;)

Except theese three, I decided not to do more of started blanket (a quite old UFO) and do another blanket from a different pattern and from the same yarn. The inspiration was taken from one blog I saw recently. I will link it on some other post connected with this blanket, because now I can't remember where I saw it...

It's still very hot outside, that's why blanket is in cold colors.
My guinea pig is almost all the time begging for wet food cause she can't stand it, too.

I'd like to ask for something:
I'm not entirely sure about my English skills, but I'd really like to hav them.
So, if You notice any mistakes in my writting, please, feel free to post a comment about it.

  See You next time :)

Time to begin the blog...

Temporary plenty of time and heat outside the window finally pushed me to begin a thing totally new for me - a blog.
I was carrying this idea for some time, as knitting and crocheting, as well as "spying" on some Collegues showing similar techniques on their blogs, takes me a lot of time. I figured that I want to show my progresses and succeses too. In the same time, maybe I will finally be able to calculate how much time takes me to do particular project...
I hope that my crafts, in combination with my "literary work" and pictures from my life, will catch an eye of People joining with me in creative madness and visiting this blod, even if it will be only for a moment ;)

About me (translation): Craftoholic. Illness, harmless but incurable, diagnosed by myself.
Sympthoms: seeking for every free (or not totally busy) time to knit or crochet, a person often seen with equipment necessary for theese activities, in many, sometimes weird, places.
Caution! An addiction can easily move from one person to another by eye contact with a subject of addiction or by verbal contact with an addicted person!
